Steve opened his law practice in International Falls in 1974. Since that time he has tried numerous criminal and civil jury trials, appeared regularly before the Minnesota Court of Appeals and several times before the Minnesota Supreme Court.

Background

I was born and raised in International Falls Minnesota where I returned to establish a private practice of law in 1974. I have practiced continuously since that date in areas of Civil Litigation, Personal Injury and Criminal Defense. My practice has been regional, frequently appearing before State and Federal Courts throughout the State. I have also appeared in Federal Courts in North Dakota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana.

Related Interests and Licensure

I have worked primarily as a private counsel in areas of Civil Litigation and Criminal Defense. I have tried both civil and criminal jury trials in Federal District Court as well as appeals to the 8th Circuit.

 

Interests and Related Activities

I have volunteered time to work with the High School as a mock trial team coach and a mock trial Judge. I have also volunteered for Judicare Bro-Bono representation of indigents.

Personal interests include airplanes, flying, classic cars and boats. I currently hold a Commercial Pilot’s License and have maintained a U.S. Coast Guard Limited Masters License for Inland Lakes.
